Casa de Esperanza

"Is a safe place for children in crisis due to abuse, neglect or the effects of HIV. Casa de Esperanza provides residential, medical and psychological care according to the needs of each child. Counseling is also available to the parents in appropriate situations." www.casahope.org

Yellowstone Academy

It was established to facilitate intensive interaction with children and their families, over a long period of time, starting at a very early age. Yellowstone is a private Christ-centered school exclusively serving children from low-income families. The school sets high expectations for students and places a premium on the basic attributes necessary for success in American life: character, responsibility, self-reliance, and faith.
They also represent a comprehensive approach to addressing the problems caused by the cycle of illegitimacy, illiteracy and dependency that plague families in poverty. Houston Harbor Lights, Salvation Army

The Harbor Light Choir is comprised of 10 to 14 current and former substance abuse program participants who have demonstrated success and initiative toward their recovery. These men make a one-year commitment to perform at various venues with the choir as a part of their work therapy. The Choir represents The Salvation Army as ambassadors of hope throughout Houston and internationally, performing concerts annually.
