The HPF is best known for its monthly social period and luncheon meetings, which are typically held on the third Tuesday of each month at the Petroleum Club. In recent years, we have attracted an impressive array of speakers ranging from CEOs of large and small E&P and service companies to industry analysts and leading members of the financial community that serve the oil and gas industry. We feel that the dramatic growth in our membership is directly attributable to the quality of speakers that we have been able to attract.

The Houston Producers' Forum also holds two very successful social events: the informal Spring Event and the Annual Golf Tournament. Both events are well attended, represent a great networking opportunity and are a lot of fun!

This year is proving to be an interesting one for our industry. Strong but volatile product prices, the Middle East, uncertain capital markets, increasing consolidation, evolving technology and new exploration plays all contribute to a challenging environment and provide meaningful topics of discussion for the coming months.
